Cygnets Wrap Around
West End Primary offer a wrap-around provision for early years children in Reception and Nursery known as Cygnets. Through a wider range of play-based activities, the children are encouraged to learn through play and build up positive relationships with the staff and their peers. The children also have access to other areas such as the sand area, creative area, and our large outdoor area. We take regular trips to our trim trail which is on the school field near the night owl's class. Throughout the year we take opportunities to learn about cultural and religious events.
Before school: Cygnets have a breakfast club from 8am where children are welcomed and settled into the provision-based setting (please note breakfast is not provided).
After school: Cygnets runs until 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 5pm on Fridays. An after-school snack is provided for children before they explore the provision both indoor and outdoor.

This private provider is based within the school and is a well established provision, offering wrap around care for school aged children (Year 1 - Year 6) and holiday provision too.
Before school: 'Early Birds' are open from 7.30 am to 8.45 am, which is the start of the school day. The children are offered a healthy breakfast which includes a range of cereal, fruit and drinks. Children can engage in a variety of activities before being taken to their classrooms by the staff and helped with their morning routines ready for the start of the school day.
The cost of each morning session (7.30 am to 8.45am) is £5.40
After School: 'Night Owls' are open from 3.15 pm till 5.45 pm Monday - Thursday and until 5.00 pm on Fridays. There are a wide range of activities on offer and to allow the children to make their own decisions about what they engage in, whether it be a quiet activity or a more energetic challenge.
From Monday to Thursday, the cost of each session is £10.75 (3.15 pm - 5.45 pm), while on Fridays the cost of each session is £7.50 (3.15pm -5pm).
There is an annual registration fee of £10 per family.
West End Night Owls Ltd is located within the school building in a well-resourced room. The club also has direct access to the school hall, ICT Suite, and our extensive outside and sensory area.
The club also provides childcare for some of the school holidays from 8.00 am - 5.30 pm, except on Fridays when we close at 5pm. These 'Fun Clubs' cost £35 per day. Children need to bring a packed lunch but all other snacks and drinks will be provided by the club throughout the day. These holiday clubs are available to children who are aged 5 to 11 years old.
